Neurobiology course “Ion Channels and Neuronal Excitability”
It is our pleasure to invite you to the NERKA8 Summer Course “Ion Channels and Neuronal Excitability” to be held this year and in person September 8-12, 2021 in Kotor, Montenegro.
The course is organized by the Faculty of Biology University of Belgrade within the NENS School PhD program on Neurobiology. This school is to cover topic of Ion Channels and Neuronal Excitability – techniques, modeling, physiology & pathology.
A set of social events is planned with the onsite visit of the newly founded Aquarium and the traditional Farewell dinner at Boka Bay. Participants are also welcome to present posters during the School.

The Meeting Venue
The 8th “Academician Radoslav K. Andjus” (NERKA) Course will be organized in the lecture hall at the Institute of Marine Biology in Kotor (IMBK), University of Montenegro. The 200-year old palace Radoničić, which is the Institute building, is located on Cape Plagenti, about 15 minutes’ walk along the seaside from the Old Town. The official address of the IMBK is Dobrota b.b., but in case you get lost, ask anyone about the biologija mora (marine biology), and they will point you in the right direction.

COVID-19 info for entry to Montenegro
Currently, foreigners can enter MNE with all kinds of certificates: PCR <72h, ELISA <30 days, AgBAT <48h, re-vaccination <14d or +PCR 14-90d.
Upon return if necessary PCR tests can be obtained for free.
It is expected that these measures will be even more liberated by September.
